ABOUT YOUNG’S

KEEPING AGRICULTURE MOVING

In agriculture, timing is everything. When crops are ready, there’s no room for delay, confusion, or missed connections. Growers and processors need a transportation partner who understands the pace, the pressure, and the responsibility of moving food from field to plant—without fail.

That’s where Young’s Commercial Transfer comes in.

Since 1935, we’ve helped California’s producers move their crops safely, efficiently, and on time. We know the rhythm of the harvest because we’ve lived it for generations.

A GUIDE YOU CAN TRUST

Young’s was founded when G.W. and J.R. Young began hauling agricultural commodities for hire across the Valley. J.R. was just 19 years old when he purchased a small company called Commercial Transfer, later renaming it Young’s Commercial Transfer. By 1945, the business moved to Porterville—our home base to this day.

What started as a small town operation has grown into one of the most trusted agricultural transportation operations in the country. Four generations later, we’re still family owned and operated, still grounded in hard work, and still committed to doing things the right way.

A SIMPLE, DEPENDABLE SOLUTION

Today, Young’s transports tomatoes, citrus, onions, carrots, and a wide range of other crops throughout California. We specialize in large-scale, time-sensitive agricultural hauling—built for harvest realities, seasonal surges, and demanding schedules.

Each year between July and October, we move approximately 2 million tons of tomatoes, making Young’s the largest for-hire tomato hauler in the United States.

Our experienced dispatch teams, professional drivers, and in-house maintenance staff work together to keep loads moving and customers confident.

SUCCESS YOU CAN COUNT ON

When you partner with Young’s, you gain more than trucks on the road—you gain a team that understands your operation, protects your timelines, and takes pride in your success.

Our drivers are the face of our company and the backbone of our operation. They represent our values every day through professionalism, safety, and reliability—earning the trust of customers and communities alike.

At Young’s, we don’t just haul crops.
We help feed families, support agriculture, and keep California’s ag economy moving.

About TVT Inc

A LEGACY CONTINUES

TVT Transportation was founded in 1926 with a simple but forward-thinking vision: find better, more efficient ways to move goods. From the beginning, TVT pushed boundaries—pioneering innovations, refining processes, and embracing new ideas that helped shape modern transportation.

For nearly a century, dependability, innovation, and family have defined who TVT is. Through changing markets, technologies, and generations, the company has remained rooted in its community and committed to its people. That legacy has carried TVT to the brink of its 100-year anniversary—an achievement few companies ever reach.

As part of ensuring a strong future for employees, customers, and the communities it serves, TVT Transportation is now operated as a division of Young’s Inc., under Young’s management and operating authority.

This transition brings together two long-standing, family-owned Central Valley transportation companies with shared values and complementary strengths. Under Young’s, TVT continues its mission with added stability, expanded resources, and the operational support of one of the most experienced agricultural transportation organizations in the country—while preserving the heart, pride, and identity that have defined TVT for generations.

TVT’s story is far from over.
With nearly 100 years behind it and a strong future ahead, the legacy of dependability, innovation, and family continues—now strengthened by the partnership with Young’s.
